This project was a $250M Laminex factory in Taupō, designed to enable fOSB board production for Fletcher Wood Products. As part of this larger programme, a $4.5M mechanical services contract was awarded to CMS covering the installation of stainless steel pipe and dairy tube lines, large pipe bridges, pumps, heat exchangers, tanks, and specialised equipment carrying industrial chemicals used in glue production.

The project required close coordination across multiple disciplines in a live factory environment, presenting significant logistical and technical challenges throughout delivery. Key commercial outcomes included proactive variation and Extension of Time (EOT) management, payment claim submissions, specialist subcontractor and equipment procurement, and full contractual compliance.
